Saveshnik

Saveshnik, meaning "THE WOLERY" (a reference to "Winnie-the-Pooh"), is a free jazz ensemble from Moscow, Russia, created in 2012 by three professionally trained musicians: Mikhail Merelej (piano), Elizaveta Femigreta (vocals), André Carpoix (wind instruments, percussion). The ensemble plays free jazz in its unorthodox sense — inspite of traditions of the genre in which improvisation is the main and the only cornerstone, improvisation in Saveshnik, though still being the only way music is created, above all complements the meaning of the poems. The project was disbanded in June 2012.
